Step1: Launch MPEG Encoder Ultimate and load the video you want to add effects to.
Step2: Click “Effect” button to open “Effect-source” dialogue box. See “Crop”, “Effect” and “Watermark” icons at the left top. Click each icon to enter related panel.

Step3: Crop
Click scissors-like “Crop” button. Under the “Crop Area Size”, you can set the area size yourself, directly adjust the dimension of the video on the screen by manually drag the green pane is also OK.
Under “Position of Crop Area”, type value or click the triangle for the left and top margin to crop the video.

Tip: At the right bottom, by clicking “Comparing Preview” you can preview the comparison between the original and the fixed frame in real time.

Step4: Effect
Enter “Effect” panel. Under “Brightness” section, drag slider, enter any value or click the triangle to change the brightness. So does the operation for “Contrast” and “Saturation”.
Click the bar under “Other Effects”. In the drop list, choose the artistic effects such as Gray, Negative, Old film, Haze, Sand, Shadow, etc.

Step5: Watermark
In the “Watermark” section, check “Add Text Watermark” and enter the text you want to mark on your video. Drag slider or enter values to change the “Transparence”, “Vertical Position” and “Horizontal Position”. Or drag the vertical and horizontal line to adjust the position on the screen manually. Click “T” button to adjust font style, size, color, and so on.

If you want to add a logo on the video, check “Add Picture Watermark”. The operation is the same as adding text watermark. In addition, the watermark size can be adjusted in real time.

Step6: Under the “Comparing Preview”, check the effects compared with the original. Click “Apply” and “OK” to close the dialogue box.

Well, you will see the effects on your video after finishing conversion.
